Software Engineer

Location: London, Ontario, Canada
 

Job Type: Co-op/4 Month Contract

Description:

• Plan, execute, and/or support various short, medium, and long-term projects from top to bottom, to further the team's objectives - this includes planning, design, construction, documentation, testing, deployment and support
• Determine and/or document system requirements, specifications and end user materials
• Advise and make recommendations to superiors regarding technical issues
• Assist with data quality verification when needed
• Train and educate team members on new features and procedures

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, HTML
• Proficiency in SQL query writing
• Familiarity with AJAX, Javascript, XML, Web Services etc.
• Knowledge of the software development and testing cycle
• Strong object oriented programming and design skills
• Familiarity with n-tier architectures and the .Net Framework would be a benefit
• Ability to work independently on significant projects/assignments
• Ability to manage time and work on multiple urgent projects/assignments at once
• Willingness to independently research and learn technical concepts, techniques, and skills as needed
